The Los Angeles Theatre scene is home to a staggering number of companies, all devoted to keeping theatre alive. We come from all walks of life, all parts of the world, with our own unique and beautiful stories to bring to our work. All over the city, from Hollywood to Topanga, from West LA to Downtown Los Angeles, doors are opening to the public and audiences are gathering to watch great works of literature and exciting new projects take the stage.
Loft Ensemble wishes to open yet another set of doors, inviting you to experience a progressive place where we share a deep art from the core of our souls. We invite you to worlds of discovery, turmoil, unrest, longing, triumph, defeat - human experiences that demand exploration. We strive to find truth in each convoluted situation, each opportunity for evolution, taking each step together as we strip away barriers and break past our imagined limitations.
Loft Ensemble is a Los Angeles theatre company based in Sherman Oaks and a member of the LA Stage Alliance. The ensemble is led by Artistic Director Adam Chambers (star of Disney Channel's Girl vs. Monster and I Heart Vampires). The company was founded in 2007 and operated with a full year of Viewpoints workshops before producing any shows. Starting full seasons in 2010, Loft has since presented over a dozen original plays and several successful revivals. In 2012, Loft traveled to the New York International Fringe Festival and was recognized for Outstanding Ensemble with its production of LoveSick. The ensemble is one of the fastest growing companies in Los Angeles.
